Brittney: I’ve Always Been Overweight!


NOW

I have struggled with weight my whole life, but it was becoming more than just a weight concern. I was having trouble with high blood pressure and then began experiencing low blood sugar. When I would eat what I thought was somewhat healthy food, I would be hungry in a couple hours. I was also very light-headed and shaky. I would feel faint and get very irritable. When I did eat, I couldn’t stop eating until I felt better.

BEFORE

I was scared, and always frustrated and disgusted with myself. In January, when I went in for a checkup, I knew I needed to tell someone about this problem. I had gained 90 pounds in 2½ years and I had had enough. I was informed that it sounded like I had spiked my blood sugar one too many times. That same night there was an opportunity to learn about a lifestyle program that could address what I was dealing with. The timing couldn’t have been better; I knew I had to do this. So I went.

I was so excited about the information I had heard. Since I started implementing The Healthy Edge™ lifestyle, I have not once experienced the light-headed spells that I so often had experienced. I want to go to the gym, because I feel good about myself when I do. I have released more than 85 pounds, and am always looking for ways to be active. I used to have trouble with my lower back and my feet hurting constantly. And now, I am pain free.

I have yet to reach my goal, but then again, I don’t really feel like I need a goal anymore because I’m going to continue living The Healthy Edge™ no matter what. As long as my body needs to release fat, it will.

The Healthy Edge™ has been the best thing ever for my husband and me. It has completely changed our lives. We plan on starting a family soon and this was huge motivation for us throughout the entire journey. We can’t wait to be able to provide healthy food for our children and have the energy to keep up with them.

The Healthy Edge™ is different from anything else out there! We supported one another and were able to keep each other on track. We have also reached out with this knowledge to many of our family, friends, and co-workers, which has been incredibly fulfilling. This truly is a lifestyle and we are excited to live it every day.

Michael: Ten Pounds a Year Adds Up!


BEFORE

About three years ago, I started to gain about 10 pounds a year. I remember being told that this is what happens after you hit thirty years, so I justified it. The realization that I needed to do something was when I got my blood markers back in April of 2008 and my cholesterol and triglycerides were really high and my blood pressure was through the roof. I had to do something.

AFTER

When I graduated, my wife and I decided to buckle down and really get serious about our health. Since we were eating healthily, or so I thought because of what I learned in my single nutrition class in college, I was determined that we just needed to move more.

We joined a gym in January 2009. We worked out at least five days a week and I burned 700 calories a day and at the end of the first month I had lost about 6 pounds. At that rate I figured it would take me until around the end of June to reach my goal weight of 180 pounds.

This was my plan until my wife learned about The Healthy Edge™ lifestyle program. She dragged me to the introductory seminar. While she was excited to get started, I still felt I knew everything I needed to know due to my Health Enhancement degree. I decided to support her and participate in the program.

We implemented The Healthy Edge™ lifestyle with a 100% conviction, and I had reached my goal weight, three months earlier than what I had estimated. Since beginning The Healthy Edge™, I have released over 49 pounds, 13 pounds beyond my initial goal. I began at 26% body fat and now I am at 15%, which is average for men, and my blood pressure is within normal range. At 32, I feel healthier than I did when I was in high school!
